Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Salesforce Administrator to support and enhance the Salesforce platform across a major international transport organisation, with a particular focus on the Contact Centre and wider Business Operations function. This role is central to maintaining a high-performing Salesforce environment that underpins operational cadence, customer management, and strategic initiatives.

Duties

  • Oversee the configuration, design, functionality, and end-user support of the Salesforce platform.
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, validation rules, triggers, workflows, approval processes, and installed packages.
  • Manage user roles, profiles, security settings, and access controls, including Role Hierarchy and Sharing Rules.
  • Establish and enforce change-control processes and Salesforce best practices across maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity.
  • Coordinate resources involved in developing and maintaining customer management systems, including contractors, vendors, and interns.
  • Engage with business stakeholders-particularly within the Contact Centre-to gather and analyse requirements, propose Salesforce-based solutions, and translate approved designs into high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Contact Centre, CRM Marketing, and other teams to ensure strong data integrity and operational reliability across analytics, tools, and processes.
  • Oversee integrations with connected applications such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Social Studio, DocuSign, and Outlook Integration.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and the Lightning interface.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers.
  • Solid understanding of Contact Centre and customer service operations.
  • Strong grasp of data structures, data modelling, and data hygiene best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Knowledge of Apex programming and Lightning Web Components (preferred).
  • Understanding of integration tools and connected applications within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and developing on the Salesforce platform.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (minimum requirement).
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with business users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
