Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer - Contract (Inside IR35) - London

I'm looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a global reinsurance client on a 6-month Inside IR35 contract. You'll play a key role in a major back-office transformation and help build a brand-new enterprise data warehouse.

• Build, enhance, and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake & DBT

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications

• Support the design and delivery of a new enterprise data platform

• Develop and maintain SQL-based transformations and models

• Collaborate with ingestion, visualisation, and engineering teams

• Work within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

• Strong SQL skills

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake & DBT

• Solid understanding of data modelling and transformation layers

• Experience with Azure DevOps / CI/CD

• Ability to work end-to-end across data engineering workflows

• Insurance or reinsurance experience is essential

• Inside IR35 - up to £600 per day

• 6 months, with potential to extend

• Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite (Wednesdays required)
