Job Title: Controls System Maintenance Engineer

Our client are looking for a Controls System Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leamington Spa. As a Controls System Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising plant manufacturing equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant manufacturing equipment

  • Program, test, and debug PLC control systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems
  • Maintain and improve plant equipment, including compressors, boilers, fire systems, lighting, and building infrastructure
  • Ensure maintenance areas are kept clean, safe, and organised
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Carry out health and safety best practices

Qualifications & Requirements - Controls System Maintenance Engineer

  • Time-served apprentice or equivalent qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (or recognised international equivalent)
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and robotic systems
  • Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Calm, organised, and resilient under pressure
