🚀 Senior Back End/Data Engineer – Azure 🚀

📍 London / Hybrid

💰Outside IR35 - rate depending on exp

We’re supporting on a build of a specialist Management Information System (MIS) in the Education space and are looking for a Senior Back End/Data Engineer to join the team.

The role will focus on building the data pipelines, backend APIs and core data infrastructure in a modern Azure environment.

🔑 The Role

• Building ETL / ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data

• Designing and optimising SQL schemas and queries

• Developing REST APIs using Python (FastAPI)

• Monitoring and debugging data pipelines and platform performance

• Ensuring secure handling of sensitive data (GDPR / PII)

🎯 We’re looking for someone with

👉 Strong Python engineering experience

👉 Excellent SQL and data modelling skills

👉 Experience building data pipelines / ETL workflows

👉 Experience working in Azure environments

👉 Experience building REST APIs

Nice to have:

Exposure to React / TypeScript

Experience working in regulated environments
