Omnis has been exclusively engaged by a globally recognised consumer brand to appoint an AI Innovation Lab Lead. This is a newly defined leadership role with responsibility for building an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Lab and shaping how AI transforms the organisation’s understanding of its customers.
Several high-potential POC's have already demonstrated early value. The opportunity now is to bring these initiatives together, determine where the business should invest and create a credible pathway from experimentation to enterprise-scale adoption.
The successful individual will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning agentic AI, data strategy, knowledge graphs and data infrastructure. They will work closely with senior executives, customer teams and technical leaders, translating complex technology into clear commercial choices and compelling cases for investment.
The remit centres on three major areas:
Customer-facing AI innovation
Customer signals and knowledge graph
Agentic intelligence workflows
We are looking for someone who:
- Has led customer-centric AI initiatives within a complex organisation
- Understands generative AI, agentic workflows, knowledge graphs, semantic technologies and unstructured data sufficiently to set direction and challenge technical thinking
- Has taken emerging technology from concept and proof of value towards scalable products or enterprise capabilities
- Can bring structure to ambiguity, make strong prioritisation decisions and build a new capability around an evolving agenda
- Communicates complex ideas with simplicity and credibility, particularly with senior commercial and executive stakeholders
- Combines strategic thinking with a builder’s mentality and is comfortable working across product, technology, data and customer teams
- Understands how AI could reshape customer intelligence, targeting, personalisation and commerce over the coming years
- Has the leadership skills to develop a specialist team while operating effectively through influence in a global matrix
This is an opportunity to define an entirely new strategic pillar within a major international organisation. The successful candidate will inherit promising early work, strong executive sponsorship and the mandate to determine which emerging capabilities can become a genuine source of competitive advantage.
