Senior or Lead Machine Learning Engineer (ASR & NLP)

We're supporting a growing AI Product building advanced speech tools. They need a hands-on strategic Senior or Lead ML Engineer with expert Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) experience to modernise core voice architecture and bring next-gen speech products to life.

This role suits someone experienced in enterprise-grade ASR systems, product modernisation, and building scalable speech-to-text and text-to-speech features.

Ideally Hybrid in London but open to fully remote for the right candidate

6–12 Month Contract - starting ASAP

Outside IR35 - rate depending on experience

The Role

Modernise and streamline platform architecture for scalability & customisation

Lead development of multilingual speech features & seamless language switching

Drive product innovation

Own complex ASR data formatting (e.g. alphanumerics, voice-specific cases)

Influence roadmap and product vision

What We're Looking For

Senior, Principal or Lead level ML Engineer

Expert in Automatic Speech Recognition & Natural Language Processing

Experience in enterprise-grade voice / speech products

Skilled in model optimisation, multilingual pipelines & data handling

Confident influencing technical and product direction
