THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, target-oriented sales professional to join a fast-growing global events technology business, within our staffing department. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base across the UK&I and EMEA Regions.
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy within UK&I & EMEA Regions for our Staffing Division. This role is focused on generating new opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and supporting the sales team to expand our footprint across the region. It’s a great fit for someone who is energetic, motivated, and looking to build a career in B2B sales within the technology and events industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Prospect, identify, and qualify new leads through proactive outreach (Calls, Emails, LinkedIn, Networking).
- Follow up on inbound enquiries, ensuring timely responses in line with Best Practice Guidelines.
- Research prospective clients using trade press, local media, websites, and internal databases.
- Set up qualified meetings for Business Development Managers and Account Managers.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline, and lead status in the CRM system (Salesforce or similar).
- Support the sales process by providing relevant client information and insights to senior sales colleagues.
- Help drive brand awareness by representing One World Staffing at networking opportunities, virtual events, and industry outreach campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date on IT product knowledge and industry trends to confidently discuss solutions with prospects.
- Work closely with the wider sales team to ensure smooth handover of opportunities and a consistent client experience.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE...
- Previous experience in a sales, lead generation, or customer-facing role
- Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone and email.
- A proactive and fearless approach to outreach and starting conversations with new prospects.
- Highly organised with good research and analytical skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar).
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and eager to learn and develop in a sales career.
- An interest in the Events industry (experience preferred but not essential).
