Mobile IT Support Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile IT Support Analyst to join our IT team on a full-time, permanent basis. Covering campuses across South West England and Wales, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in a customer-focused environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional IT support.

As a Mobile IT Support Analyst, you'll travel regularly between campuses providing onsite technical support to staff and students, while also supporting remote requests when offsite activities allow. You'll work with a wide range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange, Windows devices, networking equipment and classroom technology, ensuring our campuses remain connected and operational.

You'll be supported by a wider team of Mobile IT Support Analysts and colleagues based at our Regional Support Office in Warwick.

About You

You will:

  • Have previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Technical Support role
  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
  • Be confident troubleshooting hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues
  • Have experience supporting Azure, Intune and Exchange
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Be comfortable working independently and travelling between sites
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Be proactive, adaptable and solution-focused
  • Hold GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel regularly

Desirable

  • Microsoft certifications
  • Experience working within an education environment
  • Experience of advanced networking technologies, switches and infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel between campuses providing onsite IT support to staff and students
  • Resolve hardware, software and user account issues through effective troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Deliver support via service tickets, walk-up requests, email and telephone
  • Manage incidents and service requests through the Halo ITSM platform
  • Install, configure and support Windows devices, peripherals and classroom technology
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD, Intune and Exchange
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation and device provisioning
  • Deploy and manage software and devices using endpoint management tools
  • Support classroom AV equipment, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and presentation technology
  • Carry out basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and connectivity issues
  • Support device lifecycle management including deployment, asset tracking and refresh programmes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Participate in technology projects, upgrades and service improvements
  • Promote IT security, data protection and best practice across the organisation
