Mobile Network Engineer
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our IT team as a Mobile Network Engineer, on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, combining visits to our 23 campuses across the UK, home working, and 1 day per week in the office at our Regional Support Office in Warwick. Please note, our Regional Support Office will be relocating to a new site in Coventry (Bedworth) in September 2026.
This is a hands-on role forming part of our internal Infrastructure team, responsible for the support, maintenance, and continual improvement of network and infrastructure services across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring network availability, performance, and security, while supporting both BAU operations and project-based work across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:- Support, maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and cloud-based network infrastructure across multiple campuses
- Carry out scheduled site visits to provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades
- Install, configure and maintain network equipment including switches, firewalls, wireless access points and network appliances
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and implement improvements
- Investigate and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and infrastructure incidents
- Conduct network health checks, site audits, and infrastructure assessments
- Support Audio Visual (AV) and collaboration technologies including meeting room and video conferencing systems
- Assist with IT equipment deployments, office moves, and campus expansions
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and asset inventories
- Liaise with third-party vendors to support network installations and issue resolution
- Ensure regular patching and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Work collaboratively with the wider IT team, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing

- Have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and NAT
- Have experience working with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
- Have knowledge of LAN, WAN and cloud networking environments
- Be confident troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
- Have an understanding of network security principles and best practice
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, adaptable approach
- Be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Have experience within an IT support or network-focused role (2+ years desirable)
- Have experience with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti or Cambium networks (desirable)
