The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Technology Manager to join our dynamic E-Commerce team. The role will entail being the advocate of best practice and a Super Administrator of our Magento 2 platform. You will identify, set, prioritise and evaluate actionable insights/stakeholder requirements to ensure successful delivery of features and functionality into our Magento 2 platform. Reporting to the Head of E-Commerce and Digital, you will also be responsible for enhancing website performance and managing security, as well as managing our outsourced web development team.
🛍️ What You’ll Be Doing:
Website Performance and Maintenance:
- Internally responsible for Magento 2 including but not limited to SLA and uptime, security and performance updates.
Website Development and Optimisation:
- Conduct thorough analysis of website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Compile requirements for functionality from analysis and stakeholder interaction to optimise and enhance user experience, as well as increase commercial value.
Backlog Management:
- Own the backlog, working with internal stakeholders to brief and prioritise requirements into the off-site development team, including reviewing and QA testing the off-site teams’ development output pre- and post-live rollout.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Marketing, E-Commerce, Design, Buying, Merchandising and Development teams to ensure alignment on development goals and initiatives.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
💡 What You’ll Bring:
- Requirements-building and backlog management for a development team is essential
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Previous experience of working in online retail in a web development or Product Owner role is essential
- Hands-on technical experience of Magento 2 essential
