Job description:
- QA Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement end-to-end QA strategy across products
- Establish quality benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting dashboards
- Introduce and enforce industry-standard QA processes (ISTQB, TMMi, etc.)
- Drive shift-left testing and early defect detection practices
- Automation & Tools
- Design and implement test automation frameworks (UI, API, performance)
- Evaluate and standardize QA tools and frameworks
- Ensure high automation coverage and CI/CD integration
- Process Improvement
- Introducing best practices in test planning, execution, and reporting
- Improve defect leakage, test coverage, and release quality metrics
- Implement risk-based testing approaches
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Development Leads
- Integrate QA into Agile and DevOps workflows
- Drive quality ownership across teams
- Mentorship
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers
- Establish and promote a QA Center of Excellence (CoE) mindset
Technical Skills
- Must Have
- Strong experience in test strategy, planning, and execution
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
- Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
- CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices
- Good to Have (Domain-Specific)
- Experience with CAE/FEA tools (LS-Dyna, Ansys, Nastran)
- Exposure to engineering simulation environments
Education:
- B.Tech/B.E./ME/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
Must have:
Required Professional degree in Engineering discipline with 10+ years of professional experience in software testing and automation.
