PLATFORM ENGINEER

🔹 Outside IR35 – £500–£550 per day

🔹 Hybrid South Coast (weekly/monthly onsite)

🔹 Contract – ASAP Start

🔹 Must hold active SC or DV Clearance

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on engineering role working within a secure, mission-led environment. You’ll be delivering automation, cloud and platform engineering solutions that underpin critical Defence & National Security programmes.

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer who thrives in complex environments, driving automation and secure-by-design principles across infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Build and automate secure infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet & Packer
• Deliver CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket
• Containerisation & orchestration with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes
• Engineer across hybrid cloud and virtualisation: AWS, Azure, VMware
• Scripting with Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Support platform performance, scalability and reliability in secure environments

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

• Strong experience as a Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer in secure environments
• Hands-on expertise with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS)
• Proven track record with automation, IaC, and CI/CD
• Ability to work across cloud, containers, and modern platform tooling
• Must hold active SC or DV clearance
