Looking for an experience AI & Automation Developer to work for an IT MSP in their Cardiff Office, Mon - Friday 9 - 5:30 (there is no hybrid or remote option as the data cannot leave the building).

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Main Tasks and Objectives

  • Architect and deploy end-to-end AI automation workflows using low-code platforms (n8n) and custom scripts.
  • Develop and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to ensure AI outputs are grounded in company-specific data.
  • Integrate various third-party services and internal databases via robust API development and consumption.
  • Design and implement AI Agents capable of multi-step reasoning and task execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify manual processes that can be optimised through AI and automation.
  • Maintain and query SQL databases to ensure data integrity and availability for automation tasks.

Outcomes and Deliverables

  • Scalable AI Workflows: Successful deployment of production-ready automations that reduce manual overhead.
  • High-Performance RAG Pipelines: Implementation of vector databases and retrieval logic for context-aware AI responses.
  • Seamless API Integrations: A library of well-documented integrations for effective system communication.
  • Technical Documentation: Comprehensive guides for all developed agents and automated processes.

Experience and Skills

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience in AI development, specifically with Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Deep understanding of AI RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and vector stores.
  • Expert-level proficiency in working with and building RESTful APIs.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with n8n for workflow orchestration.
  • Experience building and deploying autonomous AI Agents.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and backend integration.

In addition to the above duties the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances.
