Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Practice Manager at Operose Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth running of the practice. Your key responsibilities include overseeing IT, Human Resources, and Financial Management, along with delegating tasks effectively. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the surgery, ensuring the seamless processing of administrative work and proper communication with the reception and administration team. Your role involves promoting the development of reception staff, identifying training needs, and leading their appraisal system. Additionally, you will supervise the reception team, coordinate support services, and ensure rapid response to incoming calls with appropriate action taken promptly.

Main Responsibilities:As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
- You will support the Practice Manager and ensure the smooth running of the practice, where required, develop efficient systems of management to include IT, Human Resources, Financial Management and to delegate tasks appropriately.
- You will be overseeing the day-to-day operation of the surgery, you will ensure the effective processing of all administrative work and appropriate liaison with the reception and administration team while leading the attainment of Local and National KPIs, and APMS KPIs.
- Promote the development and identify training needs of reception staff and provide support in the achievement of the objectives of their personal development review. As well as lead the reception staff appraisal system.
- Ensure effective supervise the work of the reception team and co-ordinate support services for other team members and ensure rapid response to incoming telephone calls and ensure appropriate action is taken and messages are recorded and take immediate corrective action when needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Reception/customer care experience is essential. A strong understanding of health services and a passion for improving healthcare is required. Applicants should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and adhere to processes while maintaining confidentiality and data security. Flexibility to manage changing priorities and work different shifts as needed by business requirements is also necessary.
