Airtime Administrator

Main Purpose of Job

To assist with identified tasks performed by the Airtime department.

To understand the company’s products and services and how these apply to the billing of services to customers.

To use internal systems and third-party systems to ensure that all billing and provisioning requests are resolved for both internal and external customers.

To listen, learn and develop knowledge from experienced members of the Airtime team.

Key Tasks

Use the company’s billing system and relevant third-party systems to access and maintain information relating to provisioning orders, customer accounts, billing profiles and rates.

Assist with processing internal and external requests for activations, deactivations and package changes for all company services, ensuring that any applicable Early Termination Fees are identified and advised.

Develop an understanding of Airtime processes and assist in completing these in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist with tasks supporting the Airtime monthly billing cycles, including:

Ensuring provisioning requests are processed correctly for billing.

Carrying out daily or weekly housekeeping checks for errors, unprocessed CDRs or outstanding orders.

Assisting with invoice validation prior to approval and issuing final invoices to customers.

Deal with customer and internal queries through to resolution within an appropriate timeframe.

Assist with the Airtime ticketing queues and manage tickets assigned to you, ensuring they are progressed and brought to resolution in a timely manner.

Process customer prepay voucher sales orders, invoices and the delivery of vouchers/PINs.

Liaise with other departments to ensure processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Follow documented Airtime procedures and processes.

Work will be assigned by the Airtime Billing Lead or the Head of Product and Airtime.

Use common sense when performing Airtime activities with minimal supervision and seek assistance or approval when required.

Demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation of tasks.

Maintain a high quality of output to ensure accurate results.

Apply appropriate judgement to ensure that confidential information remains confidential.

Anticipate potential problems before they arise and take appropriate action to resolve issues.

Recognise when advice or additional support should be sought.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Good level of secondary education.

Strong numerical skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Self-motivated, with a willingness and drive to learn about the company’s products and services.

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Flexible, trustworthy and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
