IT Support Specialist

  • Dorking Hybrid – 4 days in the office
  • Salary £55,000
  • Holiday 20 days plus 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year
  • Hours 9am – 5.30pm
  • Travel 2-3 times a year - 5-7 days at a time

About the role:

To manage and maintain our clients IT systems, infrastructure, and software applications, ensuring seamless internal operations and external communications. This includes overseeing computers, networks, websites, databases, and the TruOffice platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Network & Systems Support

  • Maintain and troubleshoot internal communications networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Monitor system performance, backups, and data security.
  • Ensure reliable internet access and network connectivity across the organization.

Website Management

  • Oversee the functionality, updates, and basic troubleshooting of company websites.
  • Liaise with web developers or external agencies for more complex updates or redesigns.

Hardware & Software Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems and business-critical software.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance.

TruOffice System Management

  • Support and administer the TruOffice platform.
  • Act as the key internal contact for TruOffice-related issues or updates.
  • Train staff on how to use TruOffice efficiently.

Database & CRM Support

  • Support the management and maintenance of internal databases and CRM systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, backup procedures, and controlled access.

General IT Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT queries and technical issues.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations and user guides.
  • Coordinate with external IT providers when necessary.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
  • Working knowledge of TruOffice or similar CRM or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time role.
  • Some on-site support may be required
  • Occasional out-of-hours support during critical issues or system updates.
