About the Role

  • Own and drive new business sales across central government, local authorities and higher education institutions
  • Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from prospecting through to close
  • Generate pipeline through outbound activity, strategic campaigns, networking and tender opportunities
  • Lead tailored product demonstrations and commercial discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Respond to and manage public sector tenders and procurement processes
  • Work closely with leadership to shape go-to-market strategy, territory planning and public sector engagement initiatives
  • Close strategic deals worth £50k+ annually with key public sector organisations

About the Candidate

  • 4+ years' experience selling into public sector organisations, ideally central government, universities or local authorities
  • Proven track record of winning and closing complex, consultative sales opportunities
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong business development and pipeline generation skills
  • Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers and procurement teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of operating in a fast-growth environment
  • Experience within SaaS, data, analytics or information services is highly advantageous
