Contract Full-Stack JavaScript Developer - Node & Angular 6-month contract (extensions likely) £400 per day – Inside IR35 60% Hybrid in Newcastle  Opus is supporting a major  migration programme for a UK Government department, delivered via a leading consultancy. This programme supports mission-critical services dealing with high user volumes, sensitive data, and complex business processes.We’re hiring Node.js & Angular Engineers to play a key role in frontend modernisation and service delivery. What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting and delivering a large-scale Angular migration
• Building frontend applications using Angular & TypeScript
• Developing backend services with Node.js & Express
• Writing test-driven code (Jest)
• Working within CI/CD pipelines
• Improving automation and frontend standards
• Ensuring accessibility and WCAG compliance
• Contributing to architecture and best practice across teams

Required Experience

• Strong experience with Angular (priority)
• Node.js & Express
• TypeScript
• TDD and automated testing
• CI/CD experience
• Experience working on large, complex digital platforms
• Agile delivery experience

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes or containerisation exposure (Docker)
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
• Public sector / government projects
• SQL / NoSQL databases, Redis
• SC eligibility (not mandatory)
