SC-Cleared Cyber Security ArchitectLocation: UK Clearance: Active SCEngagement: ContractAbout the roleWe’re partnering with a leading public-sector consultancy to appoint an SC-cleared Cyber Security Architect. You’ll shape secure-by-design solutions for government clients, balancing delivery pragmatism with strong security outcomes across cloud, data, applications, and infrastructure.What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end security architecture for complex public-sector programmes.
• Define patterns and controls, produce high-quality designs and assurance artefacts.
• Run threat modelling and risk assessments; advise on proportionate mitigation.
• Guide delivery teams to embed secure-by-design and shift-left security practices.
• Engage stakeholders (security, architecture, delivery, governance) and present options and trade-offs in clear, business-focused language.
• Support design reviews, accreditation/assurance activities, and handover into live service.
• Contribute to bids, estimates, and pre-sales as needed (option papers, solution outlines, delivery plans).

What you’ll bring

• Active SC clearance and experience working with central government or arm’s-length bodies.
• Strong background in security architecture across cloud (Azure/AWS), networks, identity, endpoints, and application stacks.
• Practical knowledge of recognised security standards and guidance (e.g., ISO 27001/2, NIST, Zero Trust, secure patterns).
• Ability to translate risks and controls into clear designs and roadmaps for multidisciplinary teams.
• Confident communicator with consulting mindset—able to influence, simplify, and drive decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience across GDS/NCSC-aligned assurance, protective monitoring, logging, and IAM.
• Sector experience spanning justice, home affairs, health, or defence.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SABSA (or equivalent).
