DevOps Engineer

Location: Central London (1 day per week onsite)Contract: 6 months, Inside IR35We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise across GCP and AWS to support a major Financial Services client. You’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and enhancing a GCP landing zone, as well as building and maintaining the services that sit on top of it.This role sits within a high-performing engineering function, where you’ll collaborate closely with development teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and automated cloud environment.Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end delivery of a GCP landing zone, from design through to implementation and ongoing optimisation.
• Build and enhance cloud platform services to improve developer experience and streamline onboarding.
• Apply deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, automation, and container orchestration to create a reliable and secure environment.
• Drive consistency and standardisation across deployments using automation and best-practice engineering principles.
• Support Agile delivery processes and operate within enterprise-grade change control frameworks.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and AWS, including Networking, Compute, Storage, Identity & Security, Monitoring, and Operations.
• Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and Terraform module development.
• Solid understanding of version control workflows using tools such as GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
• Background working in Agile environments within large-scale, regulated organisations.
