Senior Fullstack Java Developer London (Hybrid) Salary: £85,000–£90,000 (flexible based on experience)Start Date: Ideally December, January latestI’m working with a team that’s building something genuinely useful, an intelligent writing product designed to help professionals craft better board papers and consultancy reports. It’s not about flashy tech for the sake of it. It’s about solving a real problem: making complex, high stakes writing easier, clearer, and more impactful.The product integrates directly into Microsoft Word and is currently in pilot phase. It’s early days, but the ambition is clear and the engineering team is at the heart of it. They’re pragmatic, collaborative, and focused on building features that matter. That’s where you come in.We’re hiring two senior fullstack Java Developers to help shape the next phase of this product. You’ll be working across the stack, Java with Spring Boot on the backend, React on the frontend, and SQL databases. You’ll be hands-on with everything from designing APIs to contributing to architectural decisions. Frontend experience is welcome, but not essential. What matters most is your depth in backend engineering and your ability to think holistically about how systems scale, perform, and stay secure.This is a senior role, so we’re looking for people who can mentor junior developers, lead by example, and bring clarity to complex problems. You’ll be part of a team that values thoughtful engineering and clear communication. If you’ve worked on intelligent features or have experience with agent development kits, that’s a bonus but it’s not a requirement.The team works hybrid, with most of the current engineers remote. For new joiners, we ask for flexibility to come into the London office when required. If you’re local, great. If you’re not but can travel in, that works too.Compensation & Benefits include:
