Hardware Engineer

Hardware Engineer Location: Guildford (3 days onsite – Monday to Wednesday)About the Role We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join a team developing wireless-connected products for the IoT market.Working across the full product lifecycle, you will take ownership of hardware design from concept through to production, designing and delivering commercially deployed products that operate at scale. The role covers schematic design, PCB development, hardware verification, manufacturing support and regulatory compliance for cellular-enabled and connected devices.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in commercial product development who enjoys taking products from idea through to volume manufacture.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hardware design activities from concept through production.
  • Produce schematics and support PCB layout, placement reviews and critical design analysis.
  • Develop hardware platforms using embedded processors, cellular modules and low-power MCUs.
  • Perform verification, validation and debugging of hardware designs.
  • Create and maintain technical design, test and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support regulatory and compliance activities, including RED and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure successful product introduction and ongoing production.
  • Review manufacturing quality reports and support issue resolution.
  • Provide technical support and consultancy on hardware-related matters.
