Java 8 Software Engineer | £500 – £550 | Inside IR35 | 6 Months | Hybrid Remote We’re recruiting for experienced Java Engineers with strong experience working with Legacy Java versions (Ideally Java 8). This 6-Month contract is determined as Inside IR35 and is offered on a Hybrid remote basis requiring 1/2 days per week of onsite work in Swindon or London.Key Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java 8 or similar legacy Java frameworks
• Solid skills in SQL, Spring Boot, and Hibernate development practices
• Proven ability to build microservices and reliable RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience applying TDD and BDD testing approaches
• Good understanding of clean coding principles, SOLID, and cloud technologies
• Previous experience in the Finance/Fintech Industry is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and thoroughly test new enhancements across the platform
• Lead feature development from initial concept through to final delivery
• Produce high-quality software that consistently meets performance expectations
• Resolve technical issues promptly to ensure continued platform stability
• Contribute ideas that evolve and improve the overall product architecture
