Java Developer – Automation Engineering (Short-Term Testing, Long-Term Dev)£55k–£70k | UK-based | Hybrid | Full-timeA fast-moving tech team is looking for a solid Java developer to join them in a unique automation-focused role. You’ll be helping convert manual test cases into automated ones, building out the testing framework, and solving real technical challenges. It’s not a long-term testing role, the goal is to transition back into full development once the automation side is up and running.What you’ll be doing:
  • Writing clean Java code to automate existing manual test cases
  • Tackling technical challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Working closely with developers to raise the automation bar
  • Eventually moving back into the core development team!
What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • No testing experience required, just a willingness to learn
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Someone who’s happy to own their work and grow with the team
