Ruby Developer - FinTech Focused

Senior Ruby Developer (Contract) - Fintech Scale-Up | Remote (UK-Based) | £500-£600/day

We've partnered up with a fast-growing fintech company that's just secured a fresh round of investment and is scaling up!

Their mission is to simplify financial services through cutting-edge technology, and are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to join them on a contract basis to help build the next generation of their platform.

The Role: As a Senior Ruby Developer, you'll be instrumental in building scalable Back End systems, improving performance, and contributing to architectural decisions. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features that delight our users.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing and developing robust APIs and Back End services in Ruby (Rails)
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
• Optimising performance and scalability of systems
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to best practices

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of Ruby/Rails experience
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and AWS
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Available to start within the next 2 weeks

Contract Details:

• 12 months initial contract (with potential to extend)
• £500-£600/day (outside IR35)
• Full-time
• Remote (UK-based candidates only)
