Senior Contract Data Engineer (6-month contract) | Amazon Bedrock Project

Location: London, FULLY REMOTE!
Contract Duration: 6 months, initial (extension is possible, but hasn't been confirmed)
Day Rate: £575-600 per day, Outside IR35

I have an exciting new contract opportunity for a Senior AWS Data Engineer to play a key role in developing a Gen AI platform which will leverage Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing natural language-to-SQL capabilities, which will enable the business to query complex data using conversational AI to receive accurate summaries, supporting developers & Senior Stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Design & implement scalable data solutions which fully support Amazon Bedrock AgentCore applications
- Develop and optimise NL to SQL workflows across the enterprise data platform
- Create AI-driven data summarisation and insight-generation capabilities
- Integrate semi-structured and structured data sources into Bedrock-powered agent frameworks
- Collaborate with two permanent data engineers and one data architect, along with two AI Consultants to improve the query accuracy, governance, and performance, achieving wider businesses goals.
- Drive best practice across AWS data engineering and modern cloud architecture.

Requirements:
- Must be a hands-on AWS data engineer who's gained expertise with Natural Language to SQL solutions or who's worked on LLM powered data projects / programmes.
- Must have strong SQL and Python development skills. PySpark is nice to have.
- Must have experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Athena, S3, Glue, Redshift, ECS/EKS etc (the more, the better!)
- You absolutely must have previous enterprise delivery experience with Amazon Bedrock, ideally AgentCore.
-Strong ETL/ELT pipeline skills

Nice to Have:
- Relevant AWS Certification (s)
- If you have completed the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Advance Certification, you will go right to the top of the CV pile!
