2nd/3rd line engineer

Opus are working with a key client on a 2nd/3rd line engineer requirement. The initial contract is 12 months and will be inside IR35, paid via our PAYE payroll. The role will be 2 days on-site in Exeter, the rest can be worked remotely.

Essential

• At least 3 years Experience as 2nd/3rd line engineer
• Hands-on experience with firewall rules, access controls, and routing
• Ability to conduct technical analysis and produce clear documentation

Desirable

• Experience with legacy infrastructure and operational technology (OT)
• Understanding of asset management and BAU handover processes
• Awareness of Zero Trust principles and NIST frameworks
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP)
