We’re supporting a growing engineering and manufacturing organisation that designs and builds complex machinery in-house and supplies customers worldwide. As the business continues to scale, they are investing heavily in strengthening their data, systems, and operational processes — and this role will play a central part in that transformation.

🚀 The Opportunity

As Business Systems & Transformation Manager, you will:

Business Systems Ownership

  • Lead, develop, and optimise the company’s core systems environment
  • Ensure systems are scalable, structured, and aligned with strong governance and data standards.
  • Act as the internal owner for system performance, integration strategy, and continuous improvement.

Operational Transformation

  • Drive the digitalisation and automation of processes across all departments.
  • Lead system and process improvement initiatives end‐to‐end.
  • Support shop‐floor data capture, reporting, and operational visibility initiatives.

Vendor & Partner Leadership

  • Own relationships with external IT and ERP providers.
  • Define priorities, manage delivery expectations, and coordinate upgrades or enhancements.
  • Lead multi‐party projects and ensure strong collaboration across internal and external teams.

Business Partnering

  • Work closely with department heads to understand operational challenges and translate them into system solutions.
  • Support development of meaningful management reporting and analytics.
  • Contribute to long‐term digital and operational strategy.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Proven experience managing, leading, or improving ERP or enterprise business systems within manufacturing/engineering/production.
  • Experience delivering system implementations or transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, or costing.
  • Comfortable collaborating with external IT partners or system integrators.
  • Technically confident with hands-on problem solving.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and full ownership.

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP).
  • Experience with Microsoft OneDrive / SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with system APIs or integration tools.
