This is that opportunity. A chance to join an industry-leading AI patent research platform helping organisations answer questions like “Is my invention patentable?” using proprietary models, NLP and generative AI workflows.

You’ll operate as the technical lead across AI, search and data, working on semantic search, vector retrieval, ranking optimisation, RAG pipelines and agentic AI systems across millions of patent documents.

This is a hands-on role focused on building and optimising LLM-powered workflows, hybrid search systems, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch infrastructure, NLP models, AWS-based ML pipelines and production-grade AI systems using Python.

They’re looking for someone with strong commercial ML engineering experience, Python expertise and a background in NLP and LLMs. Experience with Tensorflow and/or PyTorch, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and AWS is essential, alongside experience building scalable AI systems and leading technical direction.

In return, the role offers up to £110k, 25 days holiday, flexible working, training & development and hybrid working with 3 days onsite in London.
