Security Manager / SecOps Consultant (FTC)

Contract: Fixed-term contract (12-month rolling)

Duration: Up to 36 months

Location: Hybrid – predominantly remote with occasional travel to UK sites

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager / SecOps Consultant to support a large and complex enterprise environment. This is a senior role focused on security architecture, oversight, and strategic engagement rather than hands-on technical configuration.

The successful candidate will operate as a trusted security advisor, embedding themselves into the customer environment and working closely with internal stakeholders and external service partners.

Technical Knowledge Required

Strong technical knowledge and experience with the following technologies:

  • Cisco Meraki
  • Cisco Firepower
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco AnyConnect
  • Zscaler (ZIA required, ZPA desirable)

Role Responsibilities

Although this is not a hands-on engineering role, it requires deep technical understanding combined with strong consultative and strategic capabilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing security architecture and consultancy input across network and cloud security platforms
  • Acting as a technical authority on current and emerging security technologies and trends
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and third-party providers
  • Performing trend analysis and contributing to forward-looking security roadmaps
  • Proactively identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Supporting security governance, assurance, and continuous improvement activities
  • Embedding into the customer environment to fully understand business, technical, and operational needs

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in complex, multi-vendor environments

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel to UK sites will be required.
