System Engineer

Opus has forged a partnership with a leading mobility technology firm specializing in simulation development and testing across the automotive and aerospace sectors. Currently, they're collaborating with a prominent automotive industry leader, propelling innovation in their respective fields.
 
We're actively seeking Systems Engineers proficient in model-based system engineering tools such as Catia Magic. What distinguishes this opportunity is their unwavering commitment to nurturing talent. They are enthusiastic about cross-training engineers, offering the chance to explore software development, including mastering languages like C++, Python, and Java.
 
As a potential candidate, you'll possess the following skills:

• Substantial experience working on complex software and electronic projects within the aerospace or automotive domain.
• Proficiency in defining requirements and utilizing requirements management tools.
• Familiarity with the system engineering "V" Lifecycle.
• Strong grasp of SysML/UML Modelling Concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging in client-facing roles.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering tools and techniques; for the initial project, Catia Magic System of Systems will be utilized.

Start date: This role offers a quick start, with a kickoff date in May. Candidates with immediate availability or up to 4 weeks' notice are encouraged to apply.

Location: Applicants must be based in the UK. However, this position is homebased, with occasional onsite meetings once per quarter.
