Full Stack Engineer
Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Leaning)
Oxford (flexible / remote-first, 1 day a week onsite)
This is a chance to work on a large-scale, consumer-facing platform used globally, where the problems sit at the intersection of real-time demand, marketplace dynamics, and high-volume distributed systems.
You’ll be joining a fast-growing engineering team responsible for building and scaling a two-sided marketplace connecting millions of users with real-world experiences. The environment is product-led, fast-moving, and genuinely engineering-driven. Teams ship frequently, own what they build, and are trusted to make decisions.
The role:
- Full stack position with a strong backend bias
- Building and scaling systems that power a global marketplace
- Working closely with product and design from idea to build to release to iteration
- High ownership environment with frequent production releases
- Exposure to both user-facing features and core platform and infrastructure
Tech (not all required):
- Backend: Java (or any strong OO language)
- Frontend: React and TypeScript
- APIs: GraphQL
- Infrastructure: AWS and Kubernetes
- Data: SQL and NoSQL
You don’t need to tick every box. What matters more is strong fundamentals and the ability to pick things up quickly.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong backend or full stack engineers with solid system design fundamentals
- Experience building and scaling production systems
- Comfortable in product-led environments, not just ticket delivery
- Engineers who take ownership and like seeing things through end to end
- Curious, pragmatic, and biased towards action
Why this role:
- Global scale with real user impact
- High autonomy, low bureaucracy
- Remote-first setup with flexibility around how you work
- Strong engineering culture with fast shipping and real ownership
- Broad problem space across product, platform, data, and infrastructure
If you’re someone who enjoys building things properly, shipping often, and working on systems that actually get used at scale, worth a conversation.
