Senior Software Architect/Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Architect and Developer.  The role will be responsible for designing and developing innovative software solutions, with a focus on microservice architectures, cloud computing and orchestration with Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming and will demonstrate leadership skills in managing the development team.

€40,000 - €45,000 DOE

Responsibilities for the Senior Software Architect/Developer Role include:

• Design and develop distributed architectures based on microservices, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
• Manage the application life cycle, including development, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Implement modern cloud solutions that can automate the deployment, scaling, and management of distributed environments
• Optimise the use of Kubernetes for deployment, load balancing, autoscaling, and container management.
• Work closely with the product team and development team to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Lead and support a team of developers, fostering their professional development and promoting good development practices.

For the Senior Software Architect/Developer role, you will need:

• At least 4 years of proven experience in software development, with a focus on Java programming on distributed environments, use of SQL databases, NoSQL, and caching services.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architectures and best practices related to their development and maintenance.
• Practical experience in using and managing cloud services and infrastructures (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
• Advanced skills on Kubernetes, including deployment, configurations, management, and scaling of applications.
• Leadership skills and experience in managing technical teams, with a strong orientation towards achieving goals and collaboration
• Excellent problem-solving skills, proactivity, attention to detail, and commitment.
