Role Overview:
Orchid AI is seeking a distinguished Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to join its Advisory Board.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of artificial intelligence within asset management by working closely with the founding team on AI strategy, product innovation, enterprise adoption, governance, and long-term technology vision.
As an advisor, you will provide strategic guidance on how AI can transform investment research, portfolio management, operations, and decision-making across institutional investment organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise leadership on emerging AI trends, technologies, and competitive dynamics within financial services.
- Help define Orchid's long-term AI roadmap and strategic vision.
- Provide guidance on the responsible deployment of generative AI, agentic systems, and machine learning across investment workflows.
- Assess opportunities to leverage AI for alpha generation, research automation, portfolio construction, and operational efficiency.
- Provide feedback on AI product strategy, architecture, and differentiation.
- Help evaluate new AI capabilities, models, and alternative data sources.
- Support the development of scalable AI-native research and portfolio management solutions.
- Share perspectives on how leading asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and family offices are approaching AI adoption.
- Advise on organizational readiness, change management, and AI transformation initiatives.
- Provide guidance on AI governance, model risk management, explainability, and compliance considerations.
- Facilitate introductions to senior technology, innovation, and investment leaders where appropriate.
- Support relationship-building with institutional investors exploring AI-driven investment solutions.
- Participate in strategic discussions with prospective clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Serve as a sounding board for leadership on AI-related opportunities, risks, and market developments.

- Chief AI Officer (CAIO)
- Chief Data & AI Officer (CDAIO)
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with AI leadership responsibilities
- Head of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science
- AI Transformation Leader within asset management or financial services
- Senior AI executive at hedge funds, asset managers, banks, or fintech firms
- AI platform, infrastructure, or research leaders at leading technology companies
- Founders or executives building AI products for institutional investors
- Experts in AI governance, model risk management, or responsible AI
- Researchers or practitioners with deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems
