The company is in the midst of delivering a multi-year transformation of its data, technology and people, in support of growth.As part of a planned board succession, OS now seeks a non-executive director with recent and relevant senior financial leadership experience, to succeed to the audit and risk committee chair role. Candidates are welcomed from a broad range of backgrounds, who bring the following skills and expertise: Essential Criteria An experienced non-executive director, with the associated grasp of board governance. Financially qualified, with the recent and relevant technical skills to chair the audit committee. Commercial background, able to contribute strategically to OS' exciting transformation journey, helping the company deliver commercial success through developing new technologies and services. Intellectually curious and comfortable with the public task of OS, combined with a positive, down-to-earth, constructively challenging approach, to suit the culture of the OS board. Affinity for digital, technology and data-driven environments. Is available and accessible to deliver the duties of the position. Desirable Criteria Strong preference for prior experience as audit and risk committee chair. Direct industry experience (data/technology) is preferred but not required. Commercial growth mindset, alongside public sector affinity. The right candidates will appreciate the importance of OS' authoritative dataset, and the role it plays in citizens' lives.
