Overview
A high-impact role for a commercially driven Software & Integration Engineer to join a leading defence technology environment. This is not a back-office coding position, it's a customer-facing, delivery-focused role where your ability to connect technical solutions with real-world defence requirements will be key.

You’ll play a central role in integrating advanced software solutions into wider defence platforms and networks, working directly with customers, programme teams, and partner organisations. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of software engineering capability, systems integration experience, and a clear understanding of commercial drivers in a complex, high-stakes environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading integration of proprietary software and digital systems into wider defence networks and operational platforms.

  • Engaging directly with end-users and stakeholders to capture technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.

  • Supporting the development and deployment of plugins, interfaces, and control applications in line with customer needs.

  • Acting as a technical lead during bid and proposal stages, contributing to solution design and customer presentations.

  • Preparing integration documentation, implementation strategies, and technical collateral for use across internal and external teams.

  • Identifying potential risks and proactively managing technical and commercial implications throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong background in system engineering, integration, or digital systems delivery.

  • Experience working within or alongside the defence or aerospace industry.

  • Familiarity with defence frameworks or working with MOD end-users.
  • Proven ability to work with customers, interpret requirements, and present technical concepts clearly and commercially.

  • Understanding of defence networks, secure systems, or mission-critical software environments.

  • A commercially minded approach — capable of aligning technical solutions with business value and customer priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience developing or integrating software applications within secure or tactical environments.
