Commercial Analyst

Orka Financial is recruiting a Commercial Analyst for a permanent, full-time position in Reading. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £35,000–£40,000 per annum plus benefits.

The opportunity

You will join a supply-chain team where clear analysis supports pricing, cost management and commercial decisions. This role suits someone who enjoys improving data quality, building useful reporting and turning large data sets into practical insight for colleagues and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, transform and validate information from multiple sources.

• Build and improve dashboards and reports in Excel and Power BI.

• Analyse pricing activity, cost movements and external market benchmarks.

• Support reporting on inflation measures and supplier-basket changes.

• Produce regular cost-price analysis and explain the main drivers of change.

• Contribute to forecasting and insight-led supply-chain initiatives.

• Work closely with procurement, operations and external suppliers.

About you

You will have advanced Excel skills and practical Power BI reporting experience, together with confidence handling and visualising large data sets. You should be highly organised, adaptable and committed to accurate, timely work. A proactive and curious approach, with the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations, is important. Experience in hospitality or FMCG would be helpful but is not essential.
