Senior Commercial Operations and Sales Manager
Our client is a growing professional services business within software who seek to hire a Senior Commercial and Sales Operations Manager. The role will be combining commercial operations expertise (pricing, costing, financial analysis, large-deal support) with sales operations ownership (pipeline, win management, sales compensation, executive reporting, target accounts, win/loss analytics).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the optimisation of sales and commercial operations processes, simplifying, standardising and scaling ways of working across regions and functions.
- Develop and maintain pricing, costing and deal-modelling tools; support pricing strategy and contribute to large RFP responses to improve win probability.
- Host commercial quality assurance reviews with senior stakeholders, promoting accurate pricing, realistic margin assumptions and commercially robust deal decisions.
- Provide financial and commercial support on large or complex deals, including ad hoc analysis and tactical cost improvement recommendations.
- Own Commercial Contract Operations end-to-end, including day-to-day management of the outsourced commercial contracts partner : scope, turnaround, quality and escalation.
- Manage sub-contracting and third-party legal engagement risk — flow-down obligations, IP, liability, confidentiality, change control — and act as the escalation point for complex contract terms.
- Manage the Kimble win process and own end-to-end regional pipeline management: funnel hygiene, stage discipline, data quality and forecast reliability.
- Deliver executive management reporting on bookings, KPI performance, pipeline trends and other commercial or sales operations metrics.
- Own win/loss data analytics and maintain target account lists for campaigns, events and strategic sales initiatives.
- Administer sales compensation processes, maintaining accurate records and supporting timely, reliable reporting.
- Develop sales operations enablement materials and drive adoption; challenge existing processes and lead practical change management.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution of process improvements, pricing tools, productised offerings and contract-operations initiatives; partner with leadership on strategy and OKRs.
A salary of £70,000-£80,000 is on offer plus bonus and benefits.
