This is an opportunity to step into a technical leadership role where you'll shape how cloud services are delivered - not just support them. You'll play a key role in improving standards, mentoring engineers, and ensuring environments are built properly from the ground up.

What You'll Be Working With

You'll be operating in a Microsoft-focused cloud environment, working across:

• Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, monitoring)
• Hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud integration)
• Automation and infrastructure as code
• Modern monitoring and alerting tools

This isn't a Legacy-heavy environment - the focus is on doing things the right way, with clean design and long-term thinking.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues
• Leading the design and improvement of Azure environments
• Driving standards, automation, and best practices across the team
• Mentoring engineers and supporting their technical development
• Identifying recurring issues and implementing long-term fixes
• Working closely with leadership to improve service quality and deliver

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Background in 3rd line/senior infrastructure/cloud engineering
• Solid understanding of:
  • Azure networking, identity, and compute
  • Backup, DR, and high availability
• Experience with automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure
• Confident communicator with both technical teams and stakeholders
