Senior Software Engineer

Location: Leicester (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits

We're on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer who's excited by more than just code - someone ready to make real decisions, drive innovation, and be part of something that's growing fast.

This role isn't about maintaining the status quo. It's about leading from the front - architecting systems, mentoring a team, and working on projects that have a visible impact on thousands of users. You'll join a tight-knit, ambitious dev team where your voice truly shapes what we build next.

• Design and build new features in Laravel and Vue.js that power real products used daily.

• Architect scalable, secure APIs and backend services from the ground up.

• Lead code reviews, mentor mid/junior developers, and help level up the whole team.

• Influence technical direction, tooling, and architecture.

• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to shape features with purpose.

• PHP 8.x with Laravel

• Vue.js, TypeScript

• PostgreSQL / MySQL

• Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD

• AWS (ECS, S3, CloudWatch)

• Have 5+ years of hands-on experience building web applications at scale.

• Are highly proficient with Laravel and modern PHP practices.

• Are comfortable working with Vue.js or similar reactive frameworks.

• Enjoy mentoring others, collaborating on technical challenges, and helping set direction.

• Are UK-based and able to commute to our Leicester office two days per week.

• Have some mentoring or management experience - or are eager to grow into a leadership role.

• Experience with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes

• Familiarity with agile practices, testing, and feature flagging

• A GitHub profile or portfolio showcasing past projects

• £60,000 - £70,000 salary, depending on experience

• Hybrid working (3 days remote)
