Application Support Engineer | Up to £35,000 + Benefits

The Company We're partnered with a fast-growing online retailer that supplies a wide range of products to both trade customers and the general public. With continued growth and investment in their technology stack, they're now looking to bring an Application Support Engineer into the team to help strengthen their internal systems.

This is a fantastic role for someone from an IT support background who's ready to move beyond the basics, get involved with problem analysis, and work more closely with developers on system improvements.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Overseeing incoming support requests: logging, categorising, and prioritising issues to keep workflows running smoothly.

• Liaising with users to confirm details and ensure problems can be replicated.

• Taking ownership of repeat or common issues and resolving them directly.

• Reproducing reported faults in a test environment to give developers clear insight.

• Assisting development and QA teams with investigations.

• Monitoring logs and system activity, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

• Raising change requests or suggesting enhancements to improve processes.

• Diving into debugging and troubleshooting, with opportunities to work on .NET, C# and SQL-based issues.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in IT support

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Solid organisational ability, with a methodical approach to ticket management and documentation.

• An interest in developing technical skills - knowledge of C# and SQL is desirable but not essential.

• A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to collaborate across teams.
