Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Nottingham

Work Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day a week in office

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Role

To provide the company with insight into business processes and, more importantly, the impact of its flagship product on policing and safer neighbourhoods across the UK.

To identify, analyse, and present key trends, impacts, and outcomes using quantitative and qualitative data to drive efficiencies and good practice within the business and across the policing and broader public sector.

To maintain up-to-date knowledge of good practice, trends, and potential or active research projects that could present business opportunities to partner with like-minded organisations, such as the College of Policing, the Home Office, and individual police forces.

To analyse and present the findings from national surveys (circa 135,000 respondents across a significant question set) undertaken with members of the public who have signed up for the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and insight, and present results to company directors in an easy-to-understand and impactful format.
  • Develop and maintain performance KPI dashboards for each client, working alongside Company Directors and Account Liaison Executives to identify SWOT for each client to support effective account management.
  • Identify any missed opportunities for data capture on the dataset to measure impact and outcomes both as a business and for clients.
  • Explore, promote, and implement semantic data capabilities through Natural Language Processing, text analysis, and machine learning techniques.
  • Use multiple datasets to gain a rich insight into public engagement with the police and the impact of campaigns from local and national clients to identify good practice and 'what works'.
  • Visualise findings for various channels as part of marketing and PR campaigns, official reports, and business proposals.

Role Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant degree with strong quantitative and analytic focus (or equivalent work experience).
  • Adept at managing and analysing large and complex data using statistical software.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience in producing professional presentations and business reports for various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, accessible, and impactful manner, including writing reports and presentations.
  • Ability to provide credible and effective recommendations to colleagues across the business.
  • Experience in coordinating/managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other employment laws.

Desirable

  • Experience within a public sector/policing environment.
