Job Title: IT Support Engineer - Field Based (Northampton)Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Location: Northampton

As our Field-Based IT Support Engineer, you will be solving technical challenges across hardware, software, Microsoft platforms, and networking, including exposure to Cisco technologies.

The role is ideal for someone looking to move beyond the service desk, develop real-world technical expertise, and take clear steps towards a long-term IT career with opportunities to progress into senior technical or specialist roles.

• Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and networking issues
• Support Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, O365, Intune and Active Directory
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices and systems
• Carry out routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Deliver a professional and approachable service to end users
• Assist with networking tasks including Cisco technologies

• Previous experience in IT support or field engineering
• Knowledge of Microsoft environments including Windows Server, O365, Intune and Active Directory
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, ideally with some Cisco exposure
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
