Infrastructure Engineer : Fully on site Salary: Up to 50k

Role: We're recruiting for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a rapidly growing organisation with a UK-wide presence, supporting over 400 users across 45+ sites. This is a varied role, balancing BAU support with the delivery of strategic infrastructure projects. You'll be working across hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud), ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and high-performing.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence IT strategy, and work alongside a small but highly skilled team in a business that values proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable IT infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments.

• Lead cloud architecture, adoption, and security initiatives.

• Manage Windows Server, Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and SAN environments.

• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity planning.

• Manage Veeam backups, including monthly replication and disaster recovery processes.

• Support and maintain core network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, cradlepoints, wireless APs).

• Provide technical support for the organisation's VoIP platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical application deployments and iPaaS integrations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in an IT infrastructure or systems engineering role.

• Strong technical background in Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure, AD, Hyper-V).

• Solid networking knowledge (firewalls, VPN, VLANs, routing/switching).

• Experience managing hybrid infrastructures (on-prem SAN & cloud SaaS solutions).

• Hands-on backup/disaster recovery experience (Veeam preferred).

• Familiarity with VOIP platforms and enterprise application integration (iPaaS tools a bonus).

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-site environment.
