Kubernetes Engineer
Kubernetes Engineer | £610p/day (Outside IR35) | 6 months (initial), with potential for extension | Kubernetes setup for test and platform production Kubernetes
Our client is looking for an experienced Kubernetes or Platform Engineer to join their team. This role will focus on building out and hardening their Kubernetes platform across test and production environments, covering cluster setup, GitOps deployment, policy enforcement, and persistent storage integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and configure Kubernetes clusters for both test and platform production environments, ensuring consistency, scalability, and production readiness.
- Deploy and configure Dragonfly (in-memory data store) within the Kubernetes platform.
- Implement and configure Kyverno for Kubernetes policy management and governance.
- Set up and configure ArgoCD to support GitOps-based continuous deployment across environments.
- Configure Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs) against VAST storage in production, ensuring reliable and performant storage for stateful workloads.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters in both test and production environments.
- Practical experience with Dragonfly or similar in-memory data store technologies (e.g. Redis).
- Experience configuring Kyverno or comparable Kubernetes policy engines (e.g. OPA/Gatekeeper).
