Network Engineer - 6 Months FTC
I'm currently working with a well-established organisation looking to appoint a Network Engineer to join their infrastructure team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on role supporting a range of network infrastructure and security initiatives across a multi-site environment. You'll work closely with infrastructure, networking and security teams to maintain, improve and secure the organisation's network estate.
The RoleSupport and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
Administer and troubleshoot routing, switching and firewall technologies.
Assist with network security improvements and firewall policy reviews.
Support network segmentation and access control initiatives.
Configure and maintain VPN connectivity and secure remote access solutions.
Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and performance issues.
Work closely with infrastructure and security teams on project delivery.
Produce and maintain network documentation, diagrams and technical procedures.
Support network monitoring, alerting and operational improvements.
Previous experience as a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Network & Security Engineer.
Strong Cisco networking experience.
Good understanding of routing and switching technologies.
Experience supporting enterprise firewalls and network security controls.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and WAN technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within a multi-site or enterprise environment.
Cisco Firepower, FTD or FMC.
Cisco ISE.
Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point firewalls.
Network segmentation projects.
IPS/IDS technologies.
CCNA or CCNP certification.
Experience within large enterprise environments.
£40,000 Salary
