Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Nutanix) | £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a technology organisation delivering secure, enterprise infrastructure platforms in highly regulated environments. The role focuses on building and deploying Nutanix-based hyper-converged infrastructure, working closely with architecture, cloud, networking, and security teams to deliver scalable and resilient platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, building, and deploying Nutanix HCI clusters including compute, storage, and virtualisation components.
• Installing and configuring Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism, and associated management tools.
• Delivering infrastructure builds in line with architectural designs, security policies, and operational standards.
• Supporting infrastructure projects including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and platform expansions.
• Optimising and maintaining platform performance, resilience, and availability.
• Collaborating with networking, cloud, and security teams to integrate infrastructure into wider environments.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation, build standards, and operational runbooks.
• Providing technical support and escalation for complex infrastructure issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience building and configuring Nutanix HCI environments.
• Strong knowledge of virtualisation, compute, and storage platforms.
• Experience deploying clustered infrastructure and managing platform lifecycles.
• Understanding of infrastructure security, resilience, and availability principles.
• Ability to implement infrastructure from technical designs.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
