Senior Software Engineer - PHP Laravel / React - Cambridge £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits

We're working with a forward-thinking tech company in Cambridge who are looking to bring on board a Senior Software Engineer with a strong track record in PHP Laravel and React. The role As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality applications. You'll be working hands-on with PHP Laravel and React, and you'll have plenty of scope to introduce improvements and best practices.

You'll be expected to take ownership of projects, work closely with product and design teams, and provide mentorship to junior engineers - both in code reviews and through day-to-day guidance.

Key requirements

• Strong experience in PHP Laravel and React

• Proven experience in AWS and Docker

• Solid understanding of software architecture, scalability, and performance

• Experience mentoring or managing junior developers (strongly preferred)

• Bonus points for experience with Python and MariaDB

The ideal candidate We're looking for someone who is technically sharp, collaborative, and enjoys helping others grow. You'll be comfortable switching between hands-on coding, solution design, and coaching junior members of the team.

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office per week)
