Senior Software Engineer

Location: Leeds City Centre (Hybrid, 4 days office)?? Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a growing software business with a global reach. You'll be working across the full stack, with a strong emphasis on React and TypeScript on the front end, and Java, Spring, and Hibernate on the back end.

You'll play a key role in a large-scale migration project, moving existing systems towards a more sleek, performant, and user-friendly architecture. The role will see you working closely with the CTO, other senior engineers, and cross-functional teams, helping to shape technical decisions and deliver high-quality software used by clients across the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia.

• Design and develop modern full stack applications using React, TypeScript, Java, Spring, and Hibernate.

• Contribute to a major migration project to deliver a next-generation web platform.

• Collaborate with colleagues on technical decisions, ensuring clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Support and mentor junior and mid-level developers where needed.

• Ensure performance, scalability, and security across applications.

• Work closely with product and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

• Computer-related degree or equivalent commercial experience.

• 5+ years' commercial experience in full stack development.

• Strong expertise with React and TypeScript.

• Solid experience with Java, Spring, and SQL (Hibernate).

• Familiarity with modern front-end tooling, testing, and state management (Redux, React Query).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration ability.

• Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented.

• Able to work effectively in a team-focused agile environment.
