Software Developer

Senior Software Developer | 6 Month Contract | £350-450 p/day | Hybrid

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Developer to join a fast paced contract role with a leading financial client. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, large scale systems while driving innovation, cost optimisation, and platform resilience.

Location: Mostly Remote (occasional trips to London office)

Contract: 6-months (OIR35)

Rate: £400-450 p/day

Start date: Asap

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and full-stack applications.

• Engineer and manage cloud infrastructure (Azure as primary, AWS/GCP as secondary).

• Identify and implement cloud cost efficiencies while maintaining performance.

• Oversee container orchestration with Kubernetes and Helm.

• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).

• Lead migration projects and modernisation of legacy systems.

• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in sensitive industries.

• Provide senior-level support, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring with modern observability tools.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, collaborating with global teams.

Required:

• Proven full-stack development expertise Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and C#, .NET.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP beneficial).

• Skilled in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD automation.

• Strong background in databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).

• Track record of delivering measurable business impact through optimisation, migrations, or performance improvements.

• Strong communicator, able to translate technical solutions into business value.

• Experience working in the fiancial sector is a must
